Not to be dramatic, but I genuinely did a double take when I scrolled past the above images on Instagram and saw they were from COS. It shouldn’t have been a total surprise, since COS consistently offers contemporary pieces that feel just a little more forward than your average staples—but something about this (probably the eyewear but definitely the attitude) is really giving me big Phoebe Philo energy.
So I took the bait and decided to dive into COS’s new arrivals, and (shocker) I was not disappointed. The current collection is a treasure trove of just-edgy-enough-to-be-interesting-but-not-so-cool-they’re-scary fashion finds, from wide-leg trousers to denim to slightly dramatic tops, that are truly ideal for the second half of summer. The accessories are also seriously good—I’m sorry to report that those punchy sunglasses have already sold out, but there’s still a slew of very chic footwear, great bags, and statement jewelry that looks much more expensive than the price tags. Peep these pieces and tell me you wouldn’t believe they cost triple the price.
